Op zaterdag 13 juli mag je de Neanderthaler in jezelf naar boven halen in het preHistorisch Dorp in Eindhoven. Dat moet niet al te moeilijk zijn, we delen tenslotte nog altijd 1 tot 6% van ons DNA met hen. Trek een berenvelletje aan, test je knots, slijp je vuurstenen bijl en neem je sabeltandtijger op sleeptouw. 

We kunnen niet beloven dat je schone handen houdt. Het museum staat die dag enigszins in het teken van potten bakken. Bewoners uit verschillende tijdsperiodes laten zien hoe ze met dit eeuwenoude ambacht voorwerpen voor dagelijks gebruik maakten, zoals kruiken, kookpotten, bekers, borden en schalen. En met wat overredingskracht mogen we misschien zelf ook met een homp klei aan de slag. 

Verzamelen om 13:15 uur voor de ingang. Voor museumkaarthouders is de entree gratis, anderen zijn € 12,50 kwijt om binnen te komen. Het adres is Boutenslaan 161B, 5644 TV, Eindhoven.

We starten om 13:30 uur met een rondleiding vanaf het middeleeuwse marktplein. Daarna lopen we op eigen gelegenheid rond en verpozen we ons in herberg Den Bonten Os. 

Om 17:30 uur worden we verwacht in Brasserie Ludiek, Meent 36 (city passage), 5501 JK, Veldhoven. Dit is 600 meter lopen van Las Salinas. Je kunt bij Las Salinas parkeren en daarheen lopen. Scheelt weer een stukje rijden.

On Saturday 13 July, you can unleash your inner Neanderthal in the preHistorisch Dorp in Eindhoven. That shouldn’t be too difficult, after all, we still share 1 to 6% of our DNA with them. Put on a bearskin, test your club, sharpen your flint axe and take your sabre-toothed tiger in tow.

We can’t promise that your hands will stay clean. That day, the museum will be somewhat dedicated to pottery. Residents from different time periods will show how they used this age-old craft to make objects for daily use, such as jugs, cooking pots, cups, plates and bowls. And with a bit of persuasion, we might even get to work with a lump of clay ourselves.

Gather at 13:15 in front of the entrance. Admission is free for museum card holders, others pay €12.50 to get in. The address is Boutenslaan 161B, 5644 TV, Eindhoven.

We start at 13:30 with a guided tour from the medieval market square. Afterwards we walk around on our own and relax in the Den Bonten Os inn.

At 17:30 we are expected at Brasserie Ludiek, Meent 36 (city passage), 5501 JK, Veldhoven. This is a 600 meter walk from Las Salinas. You can park at Las Salinas and walk there. Saves you a bit of driving.
